Namaste, baby!  It’s show time! Bright colors, the perfume of incense and the intoxicating sounds of JALEBI Music fill the air….. attracting the eyes and ears of everyone in the audience. Something very special is about to happen! JALEBI Music….when BOLLYWOOD meets MOTOWN! 

 JALEBI Music is a heady mix …..a delicious recipe…. of traditional and modern Indian music (BOLLYWOOD) combined with the might and power of soul, gospel, and blues (MOTOWN) all blended together with a sapient dose of modern technology!

Curious eyes and ears beg for a taste…..and JALEBI Music responds by generously dishing out sounds and emotions that remain in hearts and minds…. long after the concert is over. Listener…beware….once you start ….you can’t stop! JALEBI Music fans are always hungry for more! 

 JALEBI Music became official in March 2006 and is a trio composed of Shirley Marie Bradby (MiraBai Devi Dasi), Ramananda Roy and Yasodananda. This trio truly has a penchant for music and mantra….and really loves making music that has both melody…and meaning!   

Since March 2006 when JALEBI officially came into being several important milestones have been reached! JALBI has done live performances at various events and festivals in Italy such as the Natural Mystic Festival (Ronciglione), the 2007 Ratha Yatra Festival (Viareggio) and the Summer Festival (Grisignano di Zocco).

JALEBI has also auto produced their debut CD intitled “JALEBI Music”, created and maintained their own official JALEBI Music web site, been featured on various radio programs on and offline, posted and distributed their music on various web pages (in English and Italian)! And last but definitely not least…. created, auto produced and posted online their first video at www.youtube.com/jalebimusic !

 During their first year of activity JALEBI Music is especially proud and honored to have also garnered accolades from various illustrious musicians such as Peter Gabriel, Steve Gadd, Franco Battiato, Enrico Rava and Aldo Tagliapietra who have written very encouraging comments  which can be seen in the official JALEBI Music Guestbook at  www.jalebimusic.com/guestbook.html  

 With such encouragement from these wonderful musicians and artists…. and the support of friends and fans around the world JALEBI Music is very happy to be currently working on another CD, doing live shows, planning their next video and generally looking forward to another fantastic and fruitful year of promoting the transcendental sounds of JALEBI Music ! On and offline!
